Cutting
As with any type of manufacture, it is important to have the right tools for the job. These, along with the right guidance and preparation, will ensure your project will run smoothly.
Working with our unique resin mouldings is far easier than with the more conventional plaster version. The product is less fragile and much less liable to snapping or breaking. Is is also easier to cut, and as long as your blade is sharp, will provide clean edges when cutting - important when mouldings are butting up to each other, reducing the amount of filling and sanding later.
It is also just as important when cutting to have the moulding stable, reducing the amount of movement when cutting. So we recommend ideally a mitre block when cutting, or even a bench hook.
Finally, clean off any cut edges with a fine sanding block.
